Preschool and Kindergarten class trial day

10am-230pm

Afternoon class trial day

3pm-6pm

How does it work:

The initial impression to any new environment is a very important one in any child`s life and something we take very seriously. From the time when you arrive at either 10am or 3pm, your son or daughter will be welcomed to their Trial day with the open and loving arms of their Teacher-of-the-day. From that moment on, your son or daughter can start to build a friendship and comfort with our school through their teacher and classmates. Building a comfort and truly feeling strong and confident is what being a student at our school is all about – it helps bolster new found abilities and the courage required to try their best, the essentials to success!

Depending on your child`s age and circumstances, we may recommend a quick meeting at the initial drop off time of 10am or 3pm or choose to conduct this meeting shortly before home time of either 230pm or 6pm. At the meeting, we will discuss more about our school, our psychology, what to expect from the Trial day and after becoming a student of our school – the rate of English development is truly trackable and something we like to be very clear about before joining us. It`s truly wonderful.  

At home time, when possible on a Trial day, we will provide you with a full, written report of your child`s day with us, combined with photos to take home as a memory. This is the best time to discuss any questions you may have as well.    

What do you need to bring for your Trial day:

Preschool and Kindergarten class:

• 2 masks
• Lunch
• Snack
• Water bottle
• Hand towel
• Plastic cup and toothbrush
• Blanket for story time and nap time
• Change of clothes
• Diapers (3 pair) for students still in diapers  

Afternoon class:

• 2 masks
• Snack
• Water bottle
• Hand towel
• Change of clothes  

Fee: All trial fees are set at 3,300yen  

Please note: This is a standard fee applied to any trial experience at HKIS. The time may also be different depending on circumstances, which we will make clear before the actual trial lesson of course 🙂

Please note: We allow for one trial day only per student but can meet privately before or after the lesson itself should you have further questions.
